Manager in place for Malton's revamped Talbot Hotel

A NEW general manager has been appointed for the Talbot Hotel in Malton ahead of its re-opening this spring.

Robert Wormall, who has been working as project manager during the multi-million pound refurbishment, said he was delighted when his appointment was confirmed by Sir Philip Naylor-Leyland, owner of the Fitzwilliam Estate and the hotel.

“The Talbot Hotel is such a handsome building and I am excited about its potential,” he said.

“As well as being the hub for local socialising, I believe it will be a huge asset to the town.”

Robert has extensive experience in the hotel industry, while his family has close links with horse racing.

He said: “Having had the opportunity to be involved in the development of the hotel from the beginning, I am looking forward to the next stage when we open the doors to welcome our first guests.”
